MTA Police Northern Complex
Acropolis Construction was proudly awarded the Maryland Transit Authority (MTA) Police Northern Complex project and was able to complete the project in seven months, shattering the initial expected duration of ten to twelve months. The nearly 30,000 square foot project demanded highly technical and complex services, which Acropolis was able to carry out seamlessly with a strict adherence to the project budget. The overall space is undoubtedly remarkable, and the result is a great accomplishment for Acropolis Construction and a pinnacle achievement for Baltimore City and the MTA Police. This project won the prestigious ABC Excellence in construction award in the category of “GC Interior Fitout Over $1 Million.
Baltimore County Courts Building 4th Floor
Acropolis Construction takes great pride in the successful completion of this highly detailed and profiled, 25,000 square foot municipal project. Security and critical path management were of significant importance to this project. Acropolis was able to work closely with the project’s design team and implement the plans flawlessly to achieve functionality and beautiful aesthetics. Acropolis’ highly skilled craftsmen and talented managers performed key scopes including rough carpentry and installation of the drywall, framing, insulation, acoustical ceilings, wall coverings, doors, and custom millwork. This project won the ABC Excellence in construction award in the category of “GC Renovation $1 Million to 5 Million.
Susquehanna Bank - Federal Hill Branch
The intricacies of coordinating the design and construction of a 5,000 square foot, federally regulated bank can be a daunting task, and coupling that with a fast-track schedule and mandatory occupancy date can be mind boggling. Yet, this task is exactly what Acropolis Construction’s, Design/Build team accomplished in an astounding three month period.
Regal Bank & Trust Headquarters
Acropolis was chosen as the Design/Build General Contractor for Regal Bank & Trust’s corporate headquarters interior fit-out project. With Acropolis’ expeditious approach, the 7,000 square foot office was re-done in exemplary fashion, on time and on budget. Acropolis was able to achieve the highest quality results on the project, as well as the praise of another project well done from a valued repeat client.
Subsequent Injury Fund
This project is a testament to Acropolis Construction’s Design/Build process. In a stunning performance, this 5,000 square foot interior fit-out, specifically tailored for attorneys, was taken through concept, design, drawing, specification, permit, demolition, construction and closeout in three months.
Fogo de Chao
Working closely with the restaurant's construction manager, Acropolis provided major construction efforts necessary for the opening of Fogo De Chao's Baltimore location. The construction team completed the interior fit-out of the 14,000 square foot, Brazilian Steakhouse.
Wetzel's Pretzels
Acropolis knows the key to any successful project is preparation. Acropolis carried out the Wetzel’s Pretzels project in Arundel Mills Mall successfully and expeditiously, and took careful consideration of each step of the process, ensuring that construction activities did not disrupt operations at the surrounding businesses during the renovation and expansion of the retail space.
Teavolve Teahouse
Acropolis was the Design/Build General Contractor for the interior fit-out of Teavolve's 2,500 square foot restaurant space. Acropolis worked closely with Teavolve's owner and architect to build and renovate the Baltimore Teahouse.
Beall Funeral Home
As the General Contractor for the new construction of this 4,687 square foot freestanding, state-of-the-art, crematory facility, Acropolis Construction worked closely with the owner, design team and governmental officials to bring this project to life.
St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church
Acropolis Construction served a vital role in the long-awaited renovation and addition to the St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church religious facility. The project involved construction of a new 22,000 square foot gymnasium facility and renovation to the existing educational building and administrative areas where Acropolis’ proficient project team performed the cold formed metal framing, exterior sheathing, insulation and vapor barriers, interior light gauge metal framing, drywall, FRP, and acoustical/Tectum ceiling systems. To help facilitate this project, Acropolis also donated labor, material, and even permanent equipment to the Church. This project also won the 2011 ABC Excellence in construction award in the category of “GC Renovation $1 Million to 5 Million.”
St. Paul Church of God
It was a true honor when the Pastor of St. Paul Church of God put her faith in Acropolis Construction to perform the 2,000 square foot interior fit-out and 1,200 square foot courtyard modification for their new Fellowship Hall. Thoroughly understanding the client’s objective and vision, we were able to perform this project in proper Design/Build fashion. Our team applied its vast experience and expertise to overcome several challenging project intricacies and provide a spectacular Fellowship Hall with a full scale commercial kitchen for the congregation to enjoy.
Chapel of the Holy Resurrection
The creative ingenuity of the team at Acropolis Construction, along with the collaborative design efforts of FormWorks and STH Design Associates, allowed for the creation of a breathtaking addition and renovation concept for the Chapel of the Holy Resurrection. The beautiful addition and the renovation to the mausoleum and crypts will provide an honorably gleaming place for people to be laid to rest. Along with the design concept, Acropolis’ team diligently produced a plan of achievable vision, mission, and goals, a study to establish the project’s financial feasibility and return on investment, and produced a plethora of viable initiatives to ensure the success of this project before construction. This design/build project is exemplary evidence of Acropolis’ capabilities.
Govans Presbyterian Church
It is with the utmost respect and gratitude that Acropolis Construction was the awarded General Contractor for the interior alterations of the new theater space at Sharp Hall, within the beautiful and historic Govans Presbyterian Church. This collaborative, team effort resulted in an outstanding, functional space to be used by the Woodbrook Players, a local community group, as well as a space for Church gatherings, meals, and recreation. We are most grateful that our humble efforts are just one small part in furthering the purpose of Govans Presbyterian Church by ‘empowering people to make the world better.’
Bolton Hill Nursery School
One of the most gratifying projects of Acropolis Construction’s illustrious career was the 5,357 square foot renovation to the new home of Bolton Hill Nursery school, originally constructed in 1850. As part of HKA’s dedicated team, we were privileged to help foster the expansion of this non-profit nursery school and were humbled knowing how much this school has played into the lives of hundreds of children throughout our community. We took our role as General Contractor to heart and performed extensive value engineering and redesigning to allow for a robust renovation to include new interior and exterior finishes, MEP upgrades, Sprinkler, Fire Protection systems and much more. So much so that HKA was recognized with a Baltimore Heritage 2015 Historic Preservation Award for Adaptive Reuse and Compatible Design for the Bolton Hill Nursery School.
The Goddard School
Working closely with the Developer/Owner, Acropolis Construction served a dynamic and vital role in providing substantial construction trades for the conversion of a former industrial shipping warehouse into this 10,000 square foot pre-school and 2,500 square foot of mezzanine office space.
Apples & Oranges Fresh Market
Acropolis Construction’s dedicated team worked closely with the Architect (HKA), Tenant, Landlord and Financial Institution to ultimately construct this beautiful 5,680 square foot, boutique grocery store. This wasn’t just any ordinary project though, it was the admirable vision of the owners to bring to an underserved part of our community, a fresh and healthy food option. Our team embraced this vision and performed extensive value engineering and General Contracting services to bring this project to reality.
CBD Plus USA
Through a referral from the property manager, Acropolis Construction came highly recommended to the tenant for General Contracting services, wherein our team fast-tracked this 1,100 square foot tenant fit-out in under 1-month. The client was so elated with our services, that upon completion of this project, our team was tasked to complete their 1,300 square foot space in Laurel, MD.
Mosaic Community Services
Acropolis Construction is grateful for the opportunity to have worked with the highly esteemed group at Mosaic Community Services. Our humble team was the awarded General Contractor for the complete gut-fit-out of 10,000 square feet on the 2nd level of one building (the 1st floor remained occupied and fully operational), while simultaneously performing phased building upgrades and renovations to an additional 14,000 square feet, over two floors, in their adjacent building. It is with great honor that our dedicated team was able to save this non-profit organization nearly $250,000 in value engineering, preconstruction services and contributions. We wish Mosaic Community Services continued success in its mission “to improve the quality of life of individuals and families by compassionately serving their mental health, addiction, special education, and community support needs.”

Our team made every effort to ensure that the client received the best end product, at the best possible price, within the best possible timeframe…and that mission was successfully accomplished.
Upcounty Non-Profit Hub
In true fashion, Acropolis Construction’s team was retained as the General Contractor to perform this 7,100 square foot, 4th floor renovation in 12-weeks; even more, we saved our client approximately $100,000 by implementing our carefully crafted Value Engineering ideas. It’s one of the most satisfying feelings as a General Contractor to successfully accomplish such a project, while helping and serving our revered clients.
Gibson Opioid Clinic
At the request of our revered client, the devoted team at Acropolis Construction initiated a Quick-Start and Fast-Track project execution method to complete this 3,770 square foot tenant fit-out of a local Opioid Clinic in a lightning-fast 8-weeks from mobilization to Use & Occupancy – all in an effort to help combat this national health crisis. This was truly a team effort from all involved parties and we couldn’t be prouder to be a part of this esteemed group of professionals in support of our local communities.

Acropolis Construction was the awarded General Contractor for the world’s-first, state-of-the-art, Psilocybin Research & Treatment facility. This multi-phased, 7,700 square foot interior renovation and 5,950 square foot outdoor garden area was flawlessly constructed to meet or exceed the highest level of construction standards in the industry today.
